COME RECREATE YOURSELF

IN THE FOREST

ALL THIS AND MORE

AT

CANDLELIGHT FOREST

The Plucky Peacock is our very own Farm Stand and Country Store at Early Moon Farms located inside the gates of Candlelight Forest. It is currently in construction and is slated for opening April 1. We will have treats, including candies and healthy snacks, some canned goods, some essentials and some gift items.  Oh… and our very own signature –

“S’Mores Corner”

The Candlelight Forest is the adventure. Take a hike by Candlelight Lake, then behind and back over Orchard Ridge. Follow the rim of Moonshine Hollow the Overlook. Enjoy a picnic at our Overlook Pavilion while enjoying the beautiful Peacock Valley below.

Afterwards, drop down into Moonshine Hollow, grab a book from our Forest Library and hoist yourself into a hammock for reading then a nap.

Later that evening come back into the Hollow for some real adventure. Bring your flashlights and head back up to the Overlook to see the tinkling lights below.

The next day, hike to Candlelight Ridge, or take a blanket for a nap in the cove at Early Moon Farms.

There is much recreation at The Candlelight Forest. Enjoy a game of Badminton in the glade just next to Mill Creek, where you will also find Corn Hole. Also, Canoe and Paddle Board Lake Angela.

Catch and release fishing is encouraged at both Candle Lake and Lake Angela.

Take the Mason Jar Walk as a family or a couple. The clues lead you throughout Peacock Valley and is a great we to orient yourself to your new surroundings. Between each clue are questions for couples and question for families to enjoy.

Play games at the Fam Cave, a tent at Glade Park with seating and games for guests to enjoy.

During the Summer Months, we will be hosting some Friday night outdoor Movie Nights.

The Forest is full of learning opportunities. Ask our Manger for Early Moon Farms and The Plucky Peacock, Duane, any questions you have about the forest and the farm. He is a wealth of knowledge.
There are so many ways to relax at Candlelight Forest.

Lay in a hammock in the Library Forest

Picnic in any one of several forest meadows

Relax in front of a late evening fire pit atop Early Moon Ridge

Sit awhile at the inviting deck at your overnight accommodations.

Candlelight Forest is 18 minutes from Downtown Chattanooga

… and less to the other most popular attractions.

Ranked as the #1 Outdoor Living City in the US, Chattanooga has so much to offer visitors. Whether it is the well known attractions such as Rock City and Cloudland Canyon, or some off-the-beaten path destinations in the Chattanooga Valley or a great eatery on the Northshore, the whole family will be entertained.
